Join Dr. Charles P. Nicholson at Bandy Creek Visitor Center on Saturday, December 9. Chuck Nicholson is an active member of the Tennessee Ornithological Society and is the author of the “Atlas of Breeding Birds of Tennessee,” the comprehensive source book on the distribution and biology of the birds nesting in the state. He has over 35 years of birding experience on the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee, including the Big South Fork area.
Come on out and enjoy this winter stroll and see what species call Big South Fork home for the holidays! Participants should meet Chuck Nicholson at the Bandy Creek Visitor Center at 8:30 a.m. (ET) and are encouraged to wear sturdy footwear and to bring binoculars and drinking water. The program will conclude by 10 a.m. so participants may enjoy the GO BIG Celebration! Both experienced and novice bird watchers are encouraged to attend.
