Maryville College’s Division of Fine Arts will present “A Maryville Christmas” on Mon., Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Clayton Center for the Arts’ Ronald and Lynda Nutt Theatre.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for area students, and free for children 5 and under. Admission is free for MC students, faculty and staff, although a printed ticket is required for admission. The concert will include performances of classic carols and holiday favorites, as well as renditions of contemporary musical celebrations. Choral selections include “Carol of the Bells,” arranged by Shaw/Parker; “Hallelujah Chorus” by George Frideric Handel; “The Christmas Song” by Bob Wells and Mel Torme; and “Noel” in African Kituba dialect, arranged by Brad Holmes.

“Our hope for this Christmas extravaganza is that Maryville College will become known as the place to go for holiday entertainment in the community,” said Dr. Christy Lee, lecturer in collaborative piano at MC and director of the Maryville College Orchestra.
Christmas Open House
The Blount County Chapter of the Maryville College Alumni Association will host a Christmas Open House on Mon., Dec. 5 from 4:30 until 7 p.m. in Willard House on the MC campus. Maryville College alumni and friends are invited to enjoy beautiful Christmas decorations, delicious baked goods and holiday music. Bring your camera for photos with Santa!
