OUR MISSION:
Moving forward in the spirit of democracy, and of honoring the champions of the human rights, dignity, justice, and civil liberties granted by the Constitution, we join in diversity to build strong, unified, compassionate, and active communities. The Women’s March Coalition will sustain the momentum generated by the worldwide Women’s March movement. We stand together as a Coalition, recognizing that the contribution of each individual organization makes us stronger, as we work together to build an inclusive East Tennessee.

We support the advocacy and resistance movements that reflect our multiple and intersecting identities. We call on all defenders of human rights to join us. This Coalition will convene and mobilize its member groups with the goals of unifying our communities, and partnering in new relationships to create change from the grassroots level up. We will defend the democratic principles on which our nation was founded, and we insist that our elected representatives also comply with these founding principles. We will not rest until all have parity and equity at all levels of leadership in society. We work peacefully, while recognizing there is no true peace without justice and equity for all.
