Join Park Rangers and librarians from the McCreary County Public Library at the Blue Heron Outdoor Museum for a fun children’s Storytime about trains at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 23rd. After Storytime we will work in the 2017 Go Big challenge book and take a hike along the Big South Fork River.
Families can meet at the McCreary County Library at 10:00 AM ET and follow staff to the Blue Heron Interpretive Center or meet on site at the Concession Stand. Please bring water and wear weather and hike appropriate clothing and footwear.
This is a great opportunity to work towards your Big South Fork Junior Ranger badge as well as this year’s GOBIG patch. The Go Big 2017 Challenge is a year-long, self-paced, park-wide event created to encourage you to go out and explore YOUR Park.
