One of Knoxville's musical treasures, John Myers is an extraordinary entertainer with a career that spans seven decades, including stints with R&B groups The Five Pennies, The Four Pennies, and then The Hearts of Stone on the Motown label in the early 1970s. Now living in Tennessee again, his current band is comprised of some of Knoxville’s finest musicians, including Sean McCollough on keyboards, Chris Durman on guitar, Maria Williams on upright bass and vocals, Steve White on mandolin, and Steve Corrigan on drums. Making this evening a little extra special is the fact that October 20 is John’s birthday, his 82nd!
