Social Media Public Comment Policy
Thank you for being a follower of the Blount County Community Health Initiative (CHI) social media channels. CHI participates in social media in order to engage Blount County individuals and organizations in leading healthier lives in a safer community. CHI provides content on social media to encourage participation with our prevention messages and discussion of health- and safety-related information.

Posted comments and images do not necessarily represent the views of CHI. External, non-CHI links, posts and images on this site do not constitute official endorsement on behalf of CHI.
While we encourage fans to share thoughts and opinions on our social media pages, we expect that this will be done in a respectful manner.
CHI and the CHI teams do not agree with or endorse every comment posted to our social media pages. Our goal is to share ideas and information with as many individuals as possible and our policy is to accept the majority of comments made to our profiles. In some circumstances, CHI may remove comments or posts if they contain:
• Hate speech, bullying, discrimination or threats
• Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity
• Nudity in profile pictures or obscene images
• Defamation to a person, people or organization
• Private health information
• Information or comments that may cause safety or security risks
• Name calling and/or personal attacks
• Comments whose main purpose are to sell a product or service
• Comments that infringe on copyrights, proprietary or confidentiality
• Spam comments, such as the same comment posted repeatedly on a profile
•Other comments that the CHI social media administrators deems inappropriate
All links posted as comments on CHI posts will be reviewed and may be deleted. Repeated violations of the CHI comment policy may cause the author to be blocked from CHI’s social media profiles.
We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, our moderation capabilities are not. We may not see every inappropriate comment right away, and we ask our followers to ignore personal attacks and negative speech or to respond politely.
