In 2016, Eric Rice and Brett Heppner decided to come together in an effort to deliver a remarkable level of customer service to their clients.
Here's a bit about both of these Property "Dads."
Eric left the Midwestern plains and came to the mountains of East Tennessee in 2005. He earned a B.S. in Education from Kansas State and a graduate degree from the University of Tennessee. He spent 8 years as Associate Director of Camp Ozark, one of the premier sports and adventure camps in the country. Eric moved to Maryville after accepting a sales position with 3M Company and recently left his post as the Property and Operations Director at Camp Montvale for the incredible opportunity to join LeConte Realty. Professionally, what he has enjoyed most has been personal interaction with people, and the opportunity to help them with making their lives better through education and service. Making the transition to selling homes, and helping people through a very personal and important decision, just made sense. Since relocating to Maryville, Eric has immersed himself into the community serving on several local boards, working in the Maryville City Schools, coaching youth sports and serving through his church. He is a graduate of the Leadership Blount Class of 2010. Currently, he serves on the Maryville High School Booster board and the Blount County Young Life Committee. Eric and his wife, Molly, are raising 3 children. Besides his family, Eric says that taking his job seriously, but not taking himself too seriously may be his greatest asset.
Brett was born and raised in Batesville, Indiana but has called East Tennessee home since 1993. He earned a finance degree from Franklin College and a MBA from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. He then spent 20 years in the banking and lending industry before the economy caused him to consider a career change and, in 2011, he obtained his real estate license. Brett and his wife, Jennifer, have 3 children: Mary Kate, Caroline and Will. The Heppner family lives in one of Maryville’s prestigious historic neighborhoods in a home built in 1886 that they restored themselves. Brett loves older homes and is a self-taught carpenter, electrician and plumber. To date, he has been involved in the renovation of 2 homes that the family has owned. In addition to real estate and home renovation, Brett is a strong advocate for our community. He is currently a Deacon at First Baptist Church Maryville and a member of their Finance and Young Life Committees. Brett is presently serving as the President of the Maryville High School Parent Teacher Student Organization.
