Alzheimer's Walk is a community event that joins friends, family and co-workers as they WALK to support more than 120,000 Tennesseans living with Alzheimer's disease today.
WALKers often register as Teams. Any number of people can make up a team. Although there is no minimum, teams typically include 5-12 people who fundraise using tools supported by Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc.
The Knoxville Regional Alzheimer's Walk includes walkers from Knox, Claiborne, Grainger, Hancock, and Union Counties. It is an annual event that raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for Alzheimer's services in this area as well as advocacy for top research. It takes place annually in April in Knoxville.
Donations are secured prior to the walk and turned in on the day of the walk. There is no registration fee. Individuals, teams, and youth are eligible for top fundraising prizes, which are awarded at an Appreciation Luncheon held after the event.
