Bodywork by Ana Goncalves

Dear Clients,
Ops! I failed to renew my massage license on time and have applied for reinstatement. Unfortunately, I will not be practicing massage therapy until that happens, as it is against state law to do so. I will let you know when I am able to book clients again. I am sorry and thank you for your patience!

Ana’s passion for practicing massage therapy was born from her encounters with the Maori healers of New Zealand. The physical body talks to each one of us through pain, discomfort, and disease. Ana reads and listens to the body translating its message into words. Using deep tissue bodywork, she releases the trapped emotions that cause pain and restores the body’s energy flow. The Maori massage is recommended to all; particularly those of us in chronic pain, the ones going through emotional stress, old emotional trauma, and the unloading of everyday-life “gunk.” As a Reiki practitioner, Ana offers one-on-one healing sessions; however, if you are not in the Knoxville area, you may schedule a distance healing session. She also offers interdimensional healing for those loved ones who have passed away.

Ana received her veterinary degree in her native country of Brazil in 1998. She then moved to Colorado where she spent 3 years pursuing her Masters degree which focused on veterinary echocardiography (heart sonogram) at Colorado State University. After finishing her M.S. in 2000, she began doing research in tissue engineering until she met her husband and followed him to Knoxville in 2004. Since then she has been raising their two boys, giving workshops on echocardiography around the world, and becoming a Reiki practitioner and massage therapist.
