Mission Nepal 2015

As a mission team, we believe bringing God glory is the purpose of life. “Mission Nepal” is an opportunity to glorify God. God has laid it on our hearts to take the Gospel to the lost in Nepal and to help disciple those who have already placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

While in Nepal, we have claimed one task of hosting a one-week Bible seminar in Kathmandu, Nepal, as our primary initiative. The Bible seminar will not only be a time for edification among the believers, but it will also lay the foundation of potentially having a Crown College in Nepal. Throughout the two-month period we are in Nepal, we will travel to villages and cities reaching the lost with the Gospel and discipling fellow-believers. During our travels, we will also place a large emphasis on inviting and encouraging people to attend the Bible seminar.

The Bible Seminar
The Bible Seminar will be held at the conclusion of the summer. Our goal is to have as many people as possible. The Seminar, as previously stated, has the main focal point of presenting material to the nationals about Crown College. It will also be a great opportunity to declare the Gospel clearly to any who may visit.

The Seminar will be a weeklong event for all ages and people groups. Several sessions will be held each day on Bible Doctrine, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Witnessing, Hermeneutics, Music, and other topics. We also plan to have regular services to encourage and exhort the brethren. We want to be a blessing and encouragement to the Nepalese people. Our plan is for those attending to be able to stay at the church facility in Nepal and to provide them with meals at minimal cost.

Our group of seven will do most of the preaching and teaching through translators. It is also important to note that many people in Nepal can understand English. We plan to have other Nepalese pastors and missionaries teach and preach also. Again, our goal is to glorify God. We believe that He will help us in preparing and communicating to the Nepalese people.

The Mission
Village to Village Preaching and Soul Winning
Less than 2% of the population in Nepal profess to be Christians. Millions of Nepalese people have never heard the gospel, not even once. Most of these unreached people are found in the villages of Nepal. Many of these villages are located high up in the hills and mountains. Most of these villages don’t have transportation services. It takes hours of hiking to get to these villages. This is one of the reasons that the gospel has not reached there yet. By God’s grace we want to go to these places, where the gospel has never been proclaimed before. This is about blazing new trails, a pioneer work!

Encouraging the Pastors and the Believers in the Village Churches
God has used Kathmandu Baptist Church ‘Ebenezer’ to plant several New Testament churches all around Nepal. There are about 15 churches in different parts of Nepal that are planted through the ministry of Kathmandu Baptist Church. We want to go to some of these churches and be a part of the ministry there. We want to encourage and strengthen pastors and believers. We are planning to take Nepali Bibles and other helpful resources to these believers.

Youth Retreats/ Youth Rallies
Young people in Nepal are searching for answers. They have grown up in a society where questions of life are not answered but rather suppressed. As believers, we have the answer they are looking for. These youth rallies will have two main goals: 1) Evangelize the unreached youth; 2) Encourage and strengthen the Christian youth.

Vacation Bible School/Children Rallies
Undoubtedly, children are the greatest mission field. Through these children's rallies, we not only want to evangelize the children but also encourage the parents and Bible school teachers. We want to see a generation of Nepalese children who will have the opportunity to grow up in a Biblical culture.
