Located on the main parkway in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Elk Mountain contains 3,000 square foot of retail space and offers a vast array of Smoky Mountain souvenirs, quality tee shirts and hoodies, handmade pottery, carvings, and knives, Native American artifacts and handmade decor, rare reprints of the "Lincoln Centennial," (only available at Elk Mountain!), taxidermy mounts, and much more.
Elk Mountain is not only a gift shop but is considered a museum attraction by many patrons. Elk Mountain features a Titanic display consisting of numerous original books, newspapers and pictures from the great historic sea disaster. Props include ship instrumentation, Victorian era furniture, a ship wheel, lookout whistle, an oar, and various other related items.
Elk Mountain houses an extensive Native American relic collection complete with arrowheads, spear points, axes, bows, and many other intriguing artifacts.
Another, one of a kind, feature at Elk Mountain is the original Lincoln Centennial (1809-1909) publication. This publication is a rare issue only to be found in the National Archives or held by private collectors. An authentic Lincoln/Douglas Campaign blanket from the late 1800's is also on display and is considered a very rare artifact.
Elk Mountain also has Vintage Western Americana on display which includes several antique Western saddles, an original 1873 Winchester rifle, model 1890 Winchester, Smith & Wesson pistol from the Civil War era. We also have Frontier Buffalo hide mittens from the late 1800's, an original saloon chair and other interesting relics.
We house a vast array of Taxidermy mounts also. Mounts include buffalo, elk, turkey, bobcat, numerous fish, raccoons, waterfowl, pheasant, otter, several deer, and even an African Eland.
Elk Mountain is considered one of the most unique and desirable gift shops in the Pigeon Forge area. Patrons frequent Elk Mountain throughout the year during their visit or vacation to the Great Smoky Mountains.
Elk Mountain Artifacts and Gift Shop is an established business within the foothills of the great Smoky Mountains. The Smoky Mountains National Park is most visited park in the country with over 10 million visitors per year.
