American Eagle Foundation

The American Eagle Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization
who has been protecting and preserving the American Bald Eagle and other birds-of-prey for more than 25 years.

Current videos, photos, & information about the AEF; the 2 Bald Eagle nests it sponsors, & appearances of Bald Eagle Challenger at sporting & other events.

The AEF cares daily for over 80 non-releasable Bald Eagles and other birds-of-prey. These birds possess permanent physical disabilities or have “imprinted” upon humans, rendering them incapable of surviving and hunting in the wild on their own.

A Breed and Release program has allowed the AEF to hatch eggs from non-releasable Bald Eagle breeding pairs and release the young into the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. The AEF has released over 127 juvenile, captive-hatched Bald Eagles into the wild so far!

The AEF works with Dolly Parton and her Dollywood theme park in an effort to educate the public. Its “Wings of America” bird-of-prey show at Dollywood has been seen by millions!

Throughout the years, the AEF has rehabilitated 1000+ injured Bald Eagles and other birds-of- prey and released them back into the wild, giving these creatures a second chance at life!

Located in Pigeon Forge, TN, at Dollywood Park, the American Eagle Foundation is home for over 80 non-releasable Bald Eagles and other birds of prey. In addition to being a major rehabilitation facility, the AEF also has bonded, non-releasable Bald Eagle
