TruckBeat at WUOT is one of 15 projects around the country participating in @AIRmedia’s 2015-2016 #FindingAmerica initiative.
TruckBeat is a new health storytelling project about East Tennessee. It’s a collaboration between independent multimedia producer Jess Mador, and Knoxville NPR-station 91.9FM WUOT. We’re taking our food truck-turned-mobile studio out on the road to report on community health topics in depth: addiction, obesity, mental health, access to health care – exploring why your ZIP code may matter more to your health than genetics.
TruckBeat at WUOT 91.9FM is brought to you by Finding America, a national initiative of the Association of Independents in Radio. With financial support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the Wyncote Foundation, the John D and Catherine T MacArthur Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
TruckBeat is a health storytelling project about East Tennessee, taking our food truck-turned-mobile studio across the Knoxville region and beyond.
TruckBeat will record and amplify the voices of Southern Appalachia. With @AIRmedia’s #FindingAmerica project.
