An internship with Children’s Bible Ministries (CBM) is an opportunity to explore different avenues of camping ministry. CBM’s internship is focused on training and equipping potential future missionaries, developing their skills, and helping them to discover their true passion and purpose in life. Over the course of the program, CBM’s goal is to provide interns with an accurate representation of what it means to be a full-time missionary, so that should God call them into the mission field at the conclusion of the internship, they will be wholly informed and equipped to serve long-term.
To help the intern develop the most well-rounded view concerning full-time missions work, CBM has designed this internship to be multi-faceted, in that they will experience several CBM locations and explore what makes them unique, helping them to grasp the big picture of ministry. Interns will spend 3-4 months of “preparation” time at CBM’s headquarters in Townsend, TN, prior to being sent for field training at several of CBM’s various camp ministries. The time spent on the field will serve to help the intern build relationships with CBM missionaries while learning different approaches taken to CBM’s ministry of the 4 Cs: Classes (Released Time and After-School Bible Clubs), Camps (Summer camps and retreats), Correspondence Lessons, and Conferences.
If, at the end of the internship, the individual does feel the Lord is calling them into full-time ministry, CBM will be able to place them into an existing CBM area, assist them in starting a new CBM area, or help them go where the Lord is leading them.
We desire for God to use this internship to raise up the next generation of world-changers – young people who seek to be awakened to their God-given gifts to change the world for His glory!
Mission Statement: To help young adults discover their passion, purpose, and calling, while simultaneously raising up the next generation of missionaries.
